Psychotherapy is a process where you meet with a trained therapist to talk through your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe and supportive space. Together, you explore what’s going on in your life, gain new insights, and learn strategies to cope with challenges. The focus is on helping you understand yourself better, improve your well-being, and create positive changes in your life.

Almost everything is confidential. There are some reasons why a psychologist may reach out to someone outside of the therapy room. Usually, this involves proof that someone is about to be hurt (self or others). If you choose to access counselling through Launchpoint Wellness, we will go more in-depth with you in our first session to make sure that you know all your rights and opportunities within therapy.

Finding the right therapist is a bit like finding the right fit in any important relationship. You should feel comfortable, respected, and safe sharing openly. A good therapist will listen without judgment, understand your goals, and work with you in a way that feels supportive. It’s normal to try a session or two before deciding if it’s the right match.
