A little bit about Christopher Shorrock, BA, hBA, MA, R. Psych, CSAT:

Chris is a psychologist who created his own private practice, CS Counselling Services, in 2013, which was opened in Edmonton and now operates in Medicine Hat, AB.  The company logo, Compassion and Strength, speaks directly to his values in his work with clients. His clinical and counselling work has been varied. He began counselling with teenagers in the wilderness of northern Alabama, at an outdoor school and treatment centre. Chris later completed his practicum for an MA in counselling psychology while employed at a methadone clinic in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Chris gained his registration as a clinical psychologist in residential addictions treatment in Lloydminster, Alberta, and has maintained good standing with both the College of Alberta Psychologists and membership in the Psychologist Association of Alberta, among others. Today, Chris specializes in concurrent addictions and mental health issues. He has always had a passion for learning about and treating various addictive disorders, and his education has still not ended! Chris has completed specialized trauma therapy training for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and he is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) as well.  Chris has completed the University of Calgary program for Advanced Clinical Supervision in Psychology, and is accepting applications from Alberta Provisional Psychologists seeking a supervisor whom have a work-site already arranged. It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.
